Account Manager
JOB TITLE: Account Manager
DEPARTMENT: Sales
LOCATION: Nashville, TN
SUMMARY: Execute sales strategy, initiate contact with existing customers, identify their needs and sell appropriate services and merchandise to meet those needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business.
- Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
- Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
- Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the management of any problems that may arise.
- Owns the contract for an existing client including contract renewal and additional hardware and software sales.
- Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
- Communicates the client’s goals and represent the client’s interests to the team.
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
- Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
- Reports to the Head of Sales providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
- Conducts semi-annual and/or quarterly business reviews for clients.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- To demonstrate and document the ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- General understanding of basic networking, IT and technology
- Ability to translate complex technology into simple terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques
- Strong analysis and judgment skills
- Works well in a team environment
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Four years of college, Bachelors Degree preferred
- Basic network skills (A+ Comp TIA level, MCP)
- Two years “business to business” sales experience, IT preferred
