Microsoft and Adobe Joint Venture
Microsoft and Adobe teamed up to offer a set of joint business solutions. These offerings are aimed at improving client experience for companies. Microsoft Teams Up with Steelcase
The tech giant Microsoft isn’t just partnering with Adobe, they are partnering with Steelcase to improve office furniture. Microsoft, along side Steelcase, is developing a series of office design concepts aimed at enhancing productivity. These “creative spaces” will better incorporate technology and office furniture to improve meetings and improve the way we interact with our workspace. Definitely, an interesting idea.
Apple Disputes Hacker Group
Recently, a hacker group calling itself the “Turkish Crime Family” claimed it hacked hundreds of millions of iCloud and Apple ID accounts. The group claim to have the ability to remotely access these accounts and wipe users’ devices. Apple denied this claim. However, they have stated that they are keeping an eye open for potential problems and recommends users employ personal security measures such as two-factor authentication or frequently changing their passwords.
AMD Investigates New Processor
Just weeks after launching the Ryzen processor, AMD is defending the new chip against criticism. Some users claim that the chip is failing to deliver on performance promises. Complaints range from problems processing video games in 1080p to issues running Windows 10. AMD admits that some performance issues will surface due to the revolutionary design of their chip. AMD is quick to add that optimization of the new processor is already underway.
Cisco Announces New Firewall Lineup
At the end of February, Cisco announced a new lineup of firewalls. The new Firepower 2100 Series promises 200% improvement in throughput. The security architecture includes a dual multicore CPU that accelerates key cryptographic, firewall and threat defense functions.
iPhone 8 Rumors
A new rumor surfaced for the iPhone 8 suggesting it will feature wireless charging. Rumors also suggest that Apple will launch a 5.8-inch phone with edge-to-edge curved OLED display in September. Finally, reports state that an improved front-facing camera will incorporate 3D technology. If all true, this would constitute a major shift in the look and feel of your next iPhone.
